A Citrus-Inspired Photo Moment for the US Foods Vendor Forum
A 9-foot citrus and boxwood installation with an orange-slice swing gave vendor forum guests a reason to stop, sit down, and take the photo.
A Photo Moment Designed to Draw Guests In
At the US Foods Vendor Forum at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, Florida Event Decor built a Citrus Swing installation for the Palazzo D-E event space: a natural-stained wood frame filled with boxwood, faux citrus, white florals, and a custom orange-slice swing. It gave guests a place to gather and take photos, and it stood out without fighting the setting around it.
The frame is a 9-foot-high, 10-foot-wide wood-covered truss finished in a natural stain. Its scale gave the installation presence from a distance and a clear architectural edge for everything inside it.
At the center hung a 3-foot-wide orange-slice swing. It was both the seating and the photo, so guests stepped into the installation instead of admiring it from across the room. Two 8-foot boxwood hedge walls extended the composition on either side and added depth, and wood slat bases gave the greenery a clean edge against the ground.
Fresh Details With a Natural Point of View
The citrus idea came through in a few chosen details rather than a pile of themed decor. Faux oranges put vivid color against the dark green boxwood. White florals added contrast. Vines softened the frame and tied the organic pieces together.
Warm natural wood held it all in balance, so the piece read fresh and energetic while still suiting the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.
Built for Interaction
The swing invited attendees to sit inside the composition, and the frame around it did the work of a photo backdrop for one person or a group. There was room behind the swing for more guests to crowd in, so it held a team photo as easily as a solo shot.
Between sessions it became a place to pause, catch up with colleagues, and take a picture worth keeping.
Structure Meets Organic Texture
The design played clean lines against natural materials. The truss set the height and silhouette. Boxwood brought soft, dimensional texture. The citrus brought the color and personality that made the concept readable at a glance.
The truss, the boxwood and the citrus stayed in balance, so the result was structured enough for a corporate forum and still had the warmth of a garden installation.
Precision Behind the Finished Installation
The team delivered same day to JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes and installed in the Palazzo D-E space in a window of about one to two hours.
The build included truss components, wood covers, hedge wall bases, hanging chains, sandbags, and specialty decor pieces, each with a structural, functional, or visual job. Careful assembly left the installation stable, finished, and ready before the first guest arrived.
