For this event at Hilton Bonnet Creek, we gave our legendary Arboretum Tree a sparkling disco ball makeover that practically shouted, “there’s a party going on right here!”.

An Unexpected Venue Transformation
This welcome reception kicked off at the Bonnet Creek Resort Golf Club pavilion, surrounded by tropical pools, chic cabanas, lazy rivers, and shimmering lagoons. Vacation mode was already in full swing… but the disco ball magic was an unexpected twist for most attendees. Suddenly, the breezy, laid-back vibe transformed into a retro, boogie-worthy paradise. Every detail blended tropical relaxation with retro tunes, inviting guests to let loose and celebrate from the very first moment.

Our show-stopping Arboretum Tree, standing ten feet tall with a lush canopy of faux branches and greenery, instantly became the natural focal point of the pavilion. But the real magic came from 45 disco balls in varying sizes hanging from its branches, catching the light and scattering reflections across the room.
The effect was pure joy: a playful mix of nostalgia, easy social interactions, and an effortless willingness to mingle and dance. Tropical vibes collided with ’80s disco energy, creating an immersive experience that engaged all the senses. Guests couldn’t resist gathering around the tree, snapping photos, and swaying under its canopy as if the branches themselves were joining the party. The greenery softened the metallic shine, balancing elegance with fun, and turning the space into a whimsical, Instagram-worthy escape.
Including retro-themed decor in event design adds layers of engagement and emotion. It evokes nostalgia, encourages interaction, and sets a lively, playful tone that makes guests feel connected to both the theme and each other.
