A Rustic Retreat Comes to Life at Gaylord Palms

For the NRG Legal Retreat 2026, Florida Event Decor dressed Emerald Bay Plaza at Gaylord Palms in corrugated metal, dark wood, greenery, lanterns and warm light.

Inside Emerald Bay Plaza at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, the NRG Legal Retreat 2026 took on a warm, rustic character. Florida Event Decor layered weathered corrugated metal, rich wood, greenery, lanterns, and warm lighting to give the atrium depth and texture while keeping it polished.

Corrugated bar surrounds set the foundation. UrbanCraft communal tables, gunmetal barstools, lit arches, and styled centerpieces filled in the rest, and the whole space was set up for conversation.

Corrugated Metal Sets the Tone

The bars set the design language. Two Gone Swampin bar surrounds combined corrugated metal with wooden uprights, fabric canopies, faux ferns, vines, red lanterns, and custom Gone Swampin signage. Each one was a focal point with a distinctly rustic character.

Greenery softened the metal, and the red lanterns and wood added warmth and contrast, so the corrugated structure never felt too industrial.

Two more gray corrugated bar surrounds carried the same materials: distressed metal fronts, dark gray framing, matching bartops, and toekicks. Together the four bars gave the event consistent service areas in one rustic look.

Communal Seating With an Architectural Element

Each UrbanCraft communal table paired a dark wood tabletop with a matching overhead arch and four battery-operated pendant lights, on a black aluminum frame. The arches gave the tables more presence than banquet seating and added height and warm light, so the seating areas stood out in the atrium.

Sixteen gunmetal barstools gave flexible seating around the tables and kept the industrial character of the corrugated bars.

Details That Added Warmth

Smaller pieces tied the larger installations together. Six faux ferns, vines, red oil lanterns, and brown wooden lanterns brought natural texture and warm accents throughout.

On the tables, nineteen moss-filled mason jars with fairy lights sat with gold-speckled votives, putting small points of light across the room.

The design repeated a few materials instead of relying on one feature. Metal, wood, greenery, moss, and warm light showed up throughout, so every area felt connected.

Lighting Built Into the Decor

The lighting was part of the decor from the start. Each UrbanCraft arch carried four battery-operated pendant lights with Edison bulbs, so the tables themselves became features. Dark wood, black framing, and lit pendants gave contrast while keeping the room consistent.

The fairy lights in the mason jar centerpieces added a second layer of light at table level, under the pendants above.

Designed Around the Venue

Emerald Bay Plaza is an atrium on the hotel side of Gaylord Palms. The open space let the decor work vertically as well as across the floor: the UrbanCraft arches added height, and the bars anchored the room.

The larger pieces would not fit in the venue’s elevator, so the team was permitted to load through the spa entrance near the convention space. With a four-to-five-hour setup window and same-day delivery and pickup, the install took close coordination of trucks, crew, venue access, and assembly.

Texture and Function Together

Every piece did a job. The bars were service areas that carried the event’s look. The communal tables were seating that doubled as lit architecture. The centerpieces and lanterns added atmosphere without competing with the larger builds.

Corrugated metal brought structure and texture, dark wood added warmth, greenery added organic contrast, and the built-in lighting softened the evening.

The Result

At Gaylord Palms, Florida Event Decor combined large rental installations with small decorative details to give an atrium a single, rustic identity for the NRG Legal Retreat 2026. Corrugated metal bars, lit UrbanCraft tables, moss-filled mason jars, and lanterns each added to the same atmosphere.
