eBay at MegaCon: A Booth That Stopped Traffic
At MegaCon, we built eBay a walk-in booth inside the Orange County Convention Center, with AV built into the walls and a LEGO-filled brand wall at the center.
A built environment designed to disrupt the floor
Fabric backwalls, vinyl exteriors, and refined interior finishes created a polished shell that looked open and dynamic from every angle and felt more like a branded pop-up than a booth.
Integrated entry points and a concealed green room added depth behind the scenes, kept out of sight of the show floor.
Walls that became storytelling surfaces
Custom expo walls doubled as media walls. Reinforced fabrication let the AV be built into the walls: nine 55” commercial displays, with the cabling hidden, turning static surfaces into live visual canvases.
Content moved across the embedded screens and guided people through the space.
An interactive brand moment
At the center, a custom brand wall on a birch base with a vinyl finish held four clear acrylic tubes filled with client-provided LEGO pieces. It became one of the most talked-about elements on the floor.
Guests paused, leaned in, photographed it, and engaged with it.
Birch tables and the pieces around them
Four custom birch tables, two standing-height and two seated-height, each with recessed acrylic trays, gave attendees a place to stop and talk.
Vinyl-wrapped graphic stands, branded sky flyers, acrylic bar installations, and modular storage units were designed to blend into the booth rather than sit on top of it.
Content eBay kept after the show
A dedicated behind-the-scenes team documented the activation across multiple days: crowd movement, engagement, and atmosphere. eBay received a 30–60 second highlight recap video, 20 polished hero images, and a full raw content library for ongoing brand use.
Install and breakdown
Installation, AV coordination, and breakdown moved in sync across teams, keeping the build, the show days, and the teardown on schedule.
