On February 28th we joined the African American Chamber of Commerce at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort for the 21st Annual Eagle Awards Gala, themed A Night in New Orleans.

At Florida Event Decor, we’re craftsmen and artists who turn ideas and concepts into built decor. The Eagle Awards Gala is one of Central Florida’s most prestigious events. On February 28th, we had the honor of joining the African American Chamber of Commerce at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for the 21st Annual Eagle Awards Gala, a night dedicated to celebrating the region’s most dynamic businesses and entrepreneurs.
The theme was A Night in New Orleans, and our team led the decor, turning the space into a luxurious, jazz-infused setting.
Step-and-Repeat Backdrop & Custom Violet Carpet
There’s something special about a red carpet moment and being recognized for your achievements and stepping onto a stage that feels as grand as the Oscars or the Grammys. But for this event, we decided to ditch the classic red carpet and go bold, with a plush, deep purple runner. This regal hue ties beautifully into the vibrancy of New Orleans culture, setting the stage for a grand entrance.
At the heart of the setup was a sleek branded backdrop showcasing the event’s sponsors, including Disney, AdventHealth, and JPMorgan Chase & Co., perfect for capturing those red-carpet-worthy moments.
We flanked the backdrop with lush hedge walls framed in rich dark wood, adding a layer of sophistication and contrast. Two vertical banners tied it all together, featuring gold lettering, deep jewel tones, and New Orleans-inspired details like a saxophone and city skyline, bringing the event’s theme to life in the most elegant way possible.
The Showstopper: A Giant Golden Saxophone
A Night in New Orleans needed jazz, so our centerpiece was a massive golden saxophone sculpture, an eye-catching tribute to the city’s legendary music scene.
Finished in a striking metallic gold, this oversized piece instantly commanded attention. Perched on a custom-built black, red, and white pedestal with built-in lighting panels, it radiated a theatrical, larger-than-life presence. Behind it, rich golden drapery added depth and movement, evoking the elegance of a classic jazz club.
The installation served as the backdrop for speeches, awards presentations and photos, and it set the stage for the night’s New Orleans theme.
