FED Vice: A Miami Vice Takeover of ICEBAR Orlando

We threw our own party and treated it like a client brief. FED Vice turned ICEBAR Orlando into a neon-soaked Miami Vice set for one night, from a custom entry arch to a bar carved out of ice.

For FED Vice, its own networking night, Florida Event Decor built an environment where bold color, tropical energy, custom fabrication and hands-on details turned a professional gathering into something guests wanted to explore. The palette was pink, lime, white, chrome and neon: playful, and still polished. Oversized installations set the atmosphere, while lounge areas, branded service pieces and interactive moments gave guests reasons to move, gather and connect.

The entrance set the mood

The arrival moment had to land before anyone stepped inside. We built a freestanding pink arch in our own shop, set it against the ICEBAR facade with flamingo cutouts, mirror balls and planted palms, and ran a pink carpet straight through it. Inside, a printed sunset backdrop on a boxwood base gave every guest a photo they would actually post.

An 8-by-8 scenic photo opportunity combined custom graphics with pink-painted scenic flats, faux palms, CNC flamingos, pool floats, vintage pink luggage and a branded LED Florida Event Decor logo, and a pink luggage cart and bellhop detail completed the arrival scene. It set the visual language for the evening and gave guests a first chance to step into the concept.

Look up and the story continues

The design did not stop at eye level. A ceiling installation layered colorful palm leaves and assorted disco balls overhead for movement and sparkle. Seven modern LED palms carried the tropical look through the space, and illuminated details let the design shift as the evening went on.

A bar carved out of ice

The venue gave us ice, so we designed around it. Carved blocks held canned cocktails, two sculpted centerpieces anchored the back bar, and pink uplighting turned the whole run into the brightest thing in the room. Roses and eucalyptus at the base kept it from reading cold.

Pink was the common thread

Pink was the event's signature color, and it showed up in unexpected places that tied the environment together. Faux foliage and CNC flamingos were finished in pink, and so were the vintage luggage and the luggage cart. Lounge seating carried the palette with hot pink Minotti sofas, benches and chairs, chrome tables and neon-toned accent pillows. Color was part of the event's identity instead of an accent.

Where hospitality became part of the design

A custom live champagne wall combined branding and service: custom graphics with peek-through openings let champagne be served from inside the installation. A separate champagne boxwood hedge wall had shelves and custom cutouts for champagne glasses, so another hospitality piece became a visual feature. What guests needed and what they saw worked together.

Built for movement

The environment gave guests several reasons to explore. A custom 3D food truck made a substantial focal point for food service, pink and lime market carts added colorful, working stations, and a red phone booth replica with a vintage phone that records messages added another interactive stop. Each feature broke up the space and created a new point of interest, which gave the networking a livelier rhythm.

Every photo had a setting

Photography was built into the experience. The main photo op had fully customizable printed walls and flooring, a complete environment rather than a conventional backdrop. A 16-foot custom step-and-repeat added another branded photo moment, framed by a color-changing neon accent. Even the ball pit became part of the picture, with a custom-branded plexiglass panel and about 6,000 ball pit orbs. These photo moments let guests take part in the design.

Neon brought it all together

Lighting gave the design its nighttime character. LED glow benches, illuminated highboys, LED flamingo centerpieces, uplighting, glow orbs and illuminated palms layered light through the event, and against the pink, lime, white and chrome palette they gave the space an energetic finish without clutter.

Mirror balls, a coral light globe and ferns filled the corners that decor usually forgets, so the venue held up in every direction a camera pointed.

Branded down to the tote

The check-in desk, the partner logo wall and a full wall of branded totes carried the same palette as the arch. Consistency across every touchpoint is what makes an activation read as one build rather than a set of rented pieces.

A networking event with its own identity

Each part of the build had its own job. The entrance set the mood, the ceiling installation added scale, pink seating gave guests places to linger, champagne and food stations built hospitality into the design, photo opportunities invited participation, and neon and LED pieces kept the space lit and lively. Together they made a space designed around how people actually experience an event.

Designed to make an impression

Florida Event Decor combines custom fabrication, decor, furniture, branding and event production to build environments that feel intentional from the moment guests arrive. At FED Vice, the functional pieces were part of the creative plan from the start: every area had a purpose, and guests had an experience worth stepping into.
