Explosive Speech Bubbles

No comic is complete without those punchy, jagged-edge speech bubbles that pack a dramatic POW! For this event, we turned them into directional signage—a fun and creative way to add comic attitude and guide guests around. Each sign stood on a 5' tall white wooden post and featured five comic-themed directional arrows. We placed faux ferns at the base and added a pop of color with up-lighting to give them an extra glow. These weren’t just signs—they were photo ops. And yes, our crew had a blast setting them up!

Comic Paper Lanterns & Glowing Lights

To match the style of our explosive signage, we strung glowing comic lanterns from the sky. Each lighting setup consisted of 13-foot truss poles supporting six 50-foot string light stands—a bright canopy of comic book charm! Faux ferns at the base anchored each truss, keeping everything secure (and stylish). The scene was a comic strip brought to life, with colorful linens, vivid furniture, and dynamic lighting. To top it off, glow orb centerpieces added interactivity, cycling through colors all night long. It was impossible not to feel part of the superhero action!
