Superhero Theme Event Decor · JW Marriott Bonnet Creek
Comic Strip Decor with a Superpowered Punch
Welcome to our superhero world at the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek, Orlando! This welcome reception was a splash of color, motion, and full-on comic book energy. At Florida Event Decor, we’re no strangers to the power of a spectacular superhero-themed setup. Sure, we’ve done our fair share of comic-style events, but each one brings its own unique flair.
Explosive Speech Bubbles
No comic is complete without those punchy, jagged-edge speech bubbles that pack a dramatic POW! For this event, we turned them into directional signage, a fun and creative way to add comic attitude and guide guests around. Each sign stood on a 5' tall white wooden post and featured five comic-themed directional arrows. We placed faux ferns at the base and added a pop of color with up-lighting to give them an extra glow. The signs doubled as photo ops. And yes, our crew had a blast setting them up!
Comic Paper Lanterns & Glowing Lights
To match the style of our explosive signage, we strung glowing comic lanterns from the sky. Each lighting setup consisted of 13-foot truss poles supporting six 50-foot string light stands, a bright canopy of comic book charm! Faux ferns at the base anchored each truss, keeping everything secure (and stylish). The scene was a comic strip brought to life, with colorful linens, vivid furniture, and dynamic lighting. To top it off, glow orb centerpieces added interactivity, cycling through colors all night long. It was impossible not to feel part of the superhero action!
Legendary Furniture
Our furniture setup was a burst of comic book magic, vibrant colors, dynamic lighting, and textures straight out of the page! It looked as though invisible lightning bolts were zapping down from above, linking the glowing bars to the highboy tables and lounge seating.
The luminescent highboy tables and glowing bar made a striking duo, featuring plexi panels, silver metallic trims, and custom comic artwork to amp up the vibe. We paired blue velvet chairs with white leather sofas, glowing cubes, and wooden elements to create an eclectic mix, just like a comic book that blends vintage charm with futuristic flair. Bold, themed accent pillows added the finishing punch!
